I get a place to just comment with some intelligent people who I like. Here miraculously one can get along with people who are die hard Darren fans and also with others who think hes not all that. Its a mix of people and opinions and no bulls-h-i-t with it. We arent forced to be all "postive" the most overused word of late. In not being forced to be oh so nice and kiss butt we are actually nice LOL We make sense and we are rational. Its amazing how a group of people who have all differing feeling for a band and a man seem to get along so well when allowed to express opinions and know they will get listened to and not lectured to! Here I dont feel the need to defend my opinions all the time and dont feel judged by the smarmy few.

Plus its a pretty bopper free environment [img]graemlins/thumbs_up.gif[/img] [img]graemlins/devil.gif[/img] always a good thing! P

I think the two things I get from here are acceptance and respect. We are all adult and intelligent enough to accept and respect each other's views and opinions without having to blindly agree with each other all the time. No-one here is judged for having differing opinions and people don't feel the need to defend themselves on that basis either. It's great that we can honestly express ourselves without fear of ridicule too.

There is also a great sense of community, friendship and compassion here and I think most people who come here can rely on a sympathetic ear or a friendly shoulder to cry on when they have worries or troubles. People here do care and I just think it's a nice place to hangout with some really nice, kind and cool friends [img]smile.gif[/img]

I agree with all of you. It's just a warm, comfortable environment full of respect for one another's opinions and values. I belong to a Yahoo Group that is very much like this. I love knowing that no matter what I say, or do, I am understood and respected. That doesn't happen everywhere, but it should. [img]smile.gif[/img]

I know I'm not around much but I think being away from here often makes me realise that this place is ace. I know that whenever I come by, there will always be a lot of warmth and friendship here. Every now and again I sneak a peak at other places I used to go and am glad I don't spend time there. I really enjoy being a fan from afar. That and I haven't got time for bbs life these days.
